Mary Ann Emory McCurry, 66, passed away on Thursday, May 02, 2024 while at Hospice of Wendover surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born to the late Dock Emory and Elizabeth Warren Emory in Cleveland County. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Johnny Emory, Jack Emory and Arthur Emory; sisters, Wanda Cleary and Mary Turner.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kirk Woods; brother, Larry Emory (Tonya); sister, Patsy Scoggins; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann worked in Textiles most of her life. She was very mechanically inclined, if it had a motor she could fix it. She loved Arts and Crafts, especially painting cement statues for her friends and family. She loved Gardening, her flowers were her favorite and traveling, she was always ready for a new adventure.
She loved her family and friends, especially her son, Kirk, all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Her door was always open to help anyone in need. She was loved by all who loved her.
A Celebration of Life, with a balloon release, will be held on Sunday, May 05, 2024 at 5:00 PM at 430 Sandy Run Church Road, Mooresboro, Nc 28114.
