Louis Steven ("Stevie") Black

Louis Steven "Stevie" Black passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 while at Atrium Cleveland.   He was the son of Edith Black and the late Louis E. Black.  Steven is also predeceased by a brother, Larry D. Black.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Melissa Black; sons, Chad Black, Steven Black, and Toby Black; daughters, Stephanie Cartwright, Miranda Black, and Sonya Black; thirty-one grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; step-children, Stephanie Green, Megan Green, and Bobby Scott Green; sister, Cynthia Wilson.

Steven loved his Lord, his family, and his animals.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to the mountains whenever he could.  Planting a garden and watching it grow brought satisfaction, but spending time with his grandkids and great grands was his greatest source of joy.  Steven also looked forward to attending church services, until his health prevented him from going. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Midview Baptist Church, 703 Margrace Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086, with Rev. Mike Rice officiating.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.  Interment will be immediately following the service.
