Joyce Elizabeth (Roberson) Tate

Joyce Elizabeth Roberson Tate, 74, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 while at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center. She was born to the late Austin Roberson and Toots Paris Roberson in Rutherford County. She is also predeceased by son, Todd Tate; grandson, Caleb Trace (Hunter) Pearson; step-granddaughter, Nancy Schultz; step-grandson, Kyle Ray Martin.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Thomas Tate and wife, Angela Tate; daughter, Cori Tate Pearson; grandchildren, Tristan Tate,  Austin Tate, Dillon Pearson and wife, Delaney Bryant Pearson, Cade Jenkins and Aubree Lee Scruggs;  great-grandchildren, Rivers Pearson, Ellison Pearson, Reece Pearson, Cade Jenkins, and Aubree Lee Scruggs; step-grandchildren, Charles Mayes and wife, Monica Mayes and Ryan Mayes and wife, Chasity Mayes; step-great-grandchildren, Conor Ray Martin, Makayla Schultz, Caydence Schultz, Maddilyn Mayes, Jace Mayes, Maxwell Mayes, Axeyl Mayes, Nicole Mayes and Cora Mayes; brothers, Royce Roberson and Noyce Roberson.

Joyce worked Retail. She loved to sit in the sun, read Stephen King book and flower gardening. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Robert Morgan - Rutherford Chapel, 124 Fair Hope Street, Forest City, North Carolina, 28043. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
