Billy "Bill" Jackson Nance

CHERRYVILLE - Billy "Bill" Jackson Nance, 79, passed away on Monday, October 03, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Stanly County to the late Crawford and Nezzie Long Nance. He is also predeceased by one daughter, Paula Lea Nance and eight siblings.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Debra Nance Cox and husband, Thomas H. Cox, Jr. of Belmont, NC; granddaughter, Brooke Elaine Cox; wife, Mary Ann Murphy; step-children, Tony Murphy, James Murphy and Kristie Murphy Watts; step-grandchildren, Kevin Brittain, Megan Murphy, Nathan Murphy and Dalton Watts; step-great-grandchildren, Vince Oliver Brittain; brother, Bruce Clement Nance.

Bill served in the National Guard and also worked in various Accounting roles. He was a loving husband and a very loving father and grandfather. He loved taking care of his family and friends. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He loved his dogs and working outside in his yard and was never without a project that he thought needed to be done.

Services are to be planned for a future date and will be announced at that time.
