Willis Lush Ledford, Jr.

SHELBY - Willis Lush Ledford, 62, a native of Murphy, NC passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He is predeceased by his parents, Willis Sr. and Betty Self Ledford; a sister, Sandy Ledford.

Willis leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of almost twenty years, Teresa Ledford; one daughter, Amanda Holcomb (Brian); one son, Michael Ledford (Crystal); one step-son, Doug Morrison (Amy); seven grandchildren, Amber, Brooke, Willo and Perry Morrison, Austin and Jaden Holcomb and Caitlyn Ledford.

He worked for most of his life as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a volunteer with the Cleveland and Rutherford County Kidney Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who love and know him.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC, 132 East College Avenue, Shelby, NC 28152. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 560 Hiwassee Dam Access Rd, Murphy, NC 28906. Visitation one hour prior to service. Burial at Elrod Family Cemetery following service.
