William Robert West

FOREST CITY - William Robert West, 79, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his parents, grandmother Ola Mae Griffin, wife Grace West, brother Charles Smith, and grandchild William Troy "Little Bill" West.

William leaves behind to cherish his memories his family, five children, Leon West (Terri), Reba Dixon (Joe), Bobby West (Marsha), Bill West (Audrey) and Billy West (Sonja); fourteen grandchildren, Matthew West, Haley Shepheard, Ashley Kimbrell Hayes, Chris Kimbrell, Jessica Hollifield, Joseph Dixon, Josh Dixon, Jennifer Dixon, Broady Dixon, Christian West, Paige Walker, Mark West, and Amanda West; fifteen great-grandchildren, Braydon, Hunter, Logan, Lawson, Landon, Opal, Riley, J.R., Abbigail, Peyton, Bentley, Haiden, Kelsey, Destiny and Emma.

William worked at Stonecutter Mills as a Dye house technician for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed working on automobiles and hauling scrap metal.  He will truly be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 4th, 2022 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church, 301 Deviney Street, Spindale, NC 28160 with Pastor Chad Sisk officiating. He will lay in rest at the church from 12:00 - 2:00 PM.
