MOORESBORO - Walter "Wheatie" Lynn McSwain, 60, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Atrium Healthcare Cleveland. He is predeceased by his parents, Dean and Beth McSwain; grandparents, Lloyd and Louise Whelchel and James and Janie Barnhill; father-in-law, George Scruggs.
Walter leaves behind his wife, Jennifer Scruggs McSwain of the home; son; Zack McSwain; daughter, Jordan McSwain; brother, Benjy McSwain; nieces, Logan McSwain and Kelli Thompson; nephews, David McSwain and Matthew Scruggs; cousin, Jason Martin; mother-in-law, Shirley Scruggs.
He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and playing golf. He was a lighthearted and humorous person that loved to make people laugh in hopes to inspire, connect, keep them focused on the important things in life and just plain make them feel better. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and cousin. He will truly be missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 08, 2021 at Camp Creek Baptist Church, 2323 Camp Creek Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114.
