Virginia Faye (Barrier) Pearson

CASAR - Virginia Faye Pearson, 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Wendover Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Pearson, and Parents George Barrier (Essie Barrier) of Drexel, NC, and Jenny Yamashita (Edward Yamashita) of Gardenia, CA.

Survived by two sons, Michael Pearson (Sandy Pearson) of Casar, NC and Collins Pearson (Melanie Malloy) of Bakersfield, CA; eight grandchildren, Joe Pearson (Marilyn Pearson) of Boiling Springs, NC, Jessica Gardner (Jesse Gardner) of Black Mountain, NC, Josh Pearson (Amber Stroupe) of Casar, NC, Erika Witcher (Lenard Witcher) of Redding, CA, Geoffrey Pearson (Kiindra Pearson) of Bakersfield, CA, Cassandra Pearson (Daniel Marcum) of Bakersfield, CA, Robert Lambert of Bakersfield, CA, and Krista Wilson (Mike Wilson) of Bakersfield, CA; 17 great grandchildren, with 3 more on the way; one brother, Edward Barrier, of Gardenia, CA.

She worked at and retired from Western Carolina Center in Morganton, NC. She had an amazing talent for art and was passionate about painting, and crafting.

A Graveside Service will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Park,  846 East Stage Coach Trail, Fallston, NC 28042 on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Gary Hollifield officiating.
