Vicky Lee (Hager) Turner

Vicky Lee Hager Turner, 81, of Lawndale passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 with her family and faithful companion, Tucker by her side.

She was born on January 02, 1945 in Lincoln County to the late Marvin Roosevelt Hager and Britt Lee Hager Welch.

Vicky was employed by Bernhardt Furniture of Shelby, North Carolina and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Turner, Sr. and half sister, Nancy Hager Boggs.

Vicky is survived by her 3 children, Cindy Hord and husband, Jerry of Shelby, NC, Joe E Turner, Jr. and wife, Angela and Sandy Plank and husband, Eddie of Lawndale; 2 grandchildren, Joe E. Turner III and wife, Brandy and Christopher Turner; 3 great-grandchildren, Levi Burkhalter, Lexi Turner and Remi Turner and a brother, Greg Hager, 2 nieces, Leslie Bolick and husband, Richard, Debbie Hartwell and 1 nephew, Brian Hager.

Memorial Services will at 2:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church, 324 Corinth Church Road, Casar, NC on Friday, July 24, 2026. Receiving of family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastors Dustin Hamrick and Joe E. Turner, Jr. officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 188, Casar, North Carolina, 28020. Flowers are to be delivered to the church.
