Tona Rolena (Wilson) McDaniel

It is with great sadness that we announce the heavenly call of our beloved spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Tona Rolena Wilson McDaniel, 68, on Thursday, September 10, 2026 while at White Oak Manor, Shelby, North Carolina. She was born to the late Richard Leon Wilson and Linda Rogers Wilson in Gaston County, North Carolina. She is also predeceased by her sister, Sharon Wilson.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50+ years, Robert Wayne McDaniel; daughters, Christi Beheler (Chris), Jessica Bush (Chris), and Elisabeth Parizal (Rick); grandchildren, Luke Bowen (Alexa), Jarrett Bowen, Cassie Moser (Chris), Candice Valentine (Demarius), Summer Clark, Josh Barnett, Alex Bush, Alyssa Parizal, Mariah Hamilton, Elias Parizal, Paylor Williams, and Kalei Parizal; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Wilson (Cynthia); sister, Marcia Hambright (Todd). 

Tona was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a faithful woman of God. A retired Pastor, she dedicated her life to loving her family, serving the Lord, and encouraging those around her. She had a beautiful love for life and traveling, especially visiting her daughter at her many military duty stations. Her faith was her foundation, her family was her greatest joy, and the love she poured into others will forever be part of her legacy.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC, 132 East College Avenue, Shelby, NC 28152. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Trinity Church of the Living God, 119 Kristie Lane, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 with Pastor Benny Thomas officiating. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Mountain Rest Cemetery, 111 South Dilling Street, Kings Mountain, North Carolina 28086.
