Timothy Wayne Norris, II

Timothy "Tim" Norris, II, age 29, passed away after a tragic accident on Sunday, August 30, 2026 while headed to work where he was a Correctional Officer at the Cherokee County Detention Center. Born in Gaston County, NC to Timothy Norris, Sr. and Elizabeth Jenkins Norris. 

Left to cherish his memory are his high school sweetheart and spouse of 8 years, Shyann Norris; sibling, Bec "Brett" Roberts and spouse, Alyssa; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ebbie Jo Ruff, Grady Norris, and Doris Jo Webb; great-grandparents, Ernest and Ina Ruff, and Zelvie Webb.

Tim was a ROTC student in high school and he achieved Eagle Scout in 2015. He was a Carolina Panthers fanatic and was always interested in cars. In 2025, Tim found a job that he loved as a Correctional Officer and was hoping that one day he would become a Narcotic Officer. He graduated from South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in May 2026. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Hillview Baptist Church, 403 Stanley-Dallas Hwy, Dallas, North Carolina 28034.
