Teresa Gaye Baker

Teresa Gaye Baker, 60, of Boiling Springs, NC, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Teresa was the beloved daughter of William "Bill " Carter Baker, Jr. and Shelby "Jean" McCarley Baker, both deceased. She was born in Gaston County, NC, but grew up in Clover, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Henry and Martha Beatrice McCarley, also William Carter Baker, Sr. and Mamie Wagner Baker.

She is survived by two sisters, Jackie Roberts (Jerry) and Lynn Thompson, and two brothers, Kenneth Baker and Keven McCarley, several nieces and nephews, aunts, numerous friends and classmates, her lifelong best friend, Lelia Jackson (Andrew), and her dog, Twinkie.
 


Teresa loved the Lord, reading her Bible daily and was a devoted member of Sandy Run Baptist in Mooresboro, NC. She was kind-hearted and never met a stranger. A proud member of the Clover High School Class of 1983, Teresa cherished staying in touch with her former classmates and her church family. She had a deep love for Southern Gospel music and singers, especially Ivan Parker. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, old TV shows and movies, professional baseball, and Duck Dynasty.


A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. Contributions in memory of Teresa may be sent to the Estate of Teresa Gay Baker, c/o Jackie Roberts, 700 Bell Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
