It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tavaris Jamal Griffin, age 30, born in Dallas County, Texas. He was preceded in death by his beloved great-grandmother, Annie Mae Winchester, and his aunt, Tamika Griffin.
Tavaris leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and will forever cherish his memory: his mother, Inita Griffin; sister, Tamia Griffin; grandmother, Etheal Griffin; aunts, Cafreda Griffin and Melissa Griffin; uncles, Mitchell Griffin, Nathaniel Griffin, and Lacedric Griffin; nephew, Xavier Grinter; great-aunts, Bertha Griffin, Earnestine Griffin, and Emma Woodfork; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
During his life, Tavaris worked in the warehouse at Amazon, where he dedicated himself with quiet strength. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things he loved—playing video games, streaming, cooking, enjoying good food, and watching movies. These moments reflected his spirit and the way he connected with others.
TT will be remembered for the love he shared, the memories he created, and the presence he brought into the lives of those around him. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
From the family:
We love you more than words can ever express and miss you deeply every single day. Your smile, your laughter, and your presence meant everything to us. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the love we shared and the memories that will stay with us forever. You will always be a part of us.
Services will be held at a later date.
