LAWNDALE - Sadie Ann Blanton Garver, age 84, native of Cleveland County, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Atrium Healthcare, Cleveland. She is predeceased by parents, Luther Blanton and Dora Ledbetter Blanton; sisters, Judy Blanton Moss and Kathryn Blanton Bridges; brother, William Luther Blanton; grandson, Colon Scott Garver; brother-in-law, Harry Garver.
Sadie leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 65 years, Carol Garver of the home; daughter, Norma Garver Clay (Danny); son, Ricky Gene Garver (Heidi); daughter, Tammy Garver Potter (Bob); grandchildren, Alex Clay (Sara), Dana Clay Tatters (Graham), Dustin Garver (Lauren), Callie Garver, Paul Michael Potter, Ben Thomas "B.T." Potter, Lauren Brizendine and Jordan Brizendine (Evelyn); great-grandchildren, Karlye Clay, Kason Clay and Logan D. Gordon; brother, Harold Douglas Blanton (Shirley) of Casar; sister-in-law, Sharlene Garver Lutz of Belwood; number of nieces and nephews.
She was a member and Financial Secretary at First United Methodist Church of Lawndale, NC. She worked at PPG for 28 years in the Accounting Department, was a Substitute Teacher for Cleveland County Schools and Secretary of the Fallston Chapter and Past District Deputy Grand Matron and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. She was the best mother ever and loved her family very much and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be in our hearts always and forever.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Lawndale First United Methodist Church, 211 East Main Street, #217, Lawndale, NC 28090 (outside if permitted) with Rev. Keith Sherrill, Rev. David Haitt and Rev. Roger Sailors officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Private Internment.
