Roger Leevon McClain, Jr

Roger McClain, Jr., son of Angela Murphy and Roger McClain, Sr., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 02, 2023. 

He is survived by his sister, Shiree Byrd; brothers, Malik Bowen, Brandon Gordon, Jorden McCormick, Micheal Hensley, and Justin McClain; 4 nieces and 2 nephews, Audriee, Avah, Kaylaini, Unique, Kaiden and Austin. He is grandson of Lorene Frazier, Judith McClain (deceased), Charles Bowen, Sr. (deceased); 2 aunts and 3 uncles.

Roger was a sweet son who loved to watch horror movies, read books, listen to various choices of music. He spent his free time reading, writing stories, playing video games. Mythology Astrology and Spirituality was his interest. He loved his family more than anything, especially his nieces and nephews. He loved cats and insects. He was very spoken and always friendly. He enjoyed writing stories and creating characters of his own. Roger had enough love to give a million souls. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Springmore Baptist Church, 651 McBrayer Homestead Road, Shelby, NC 28152 with Pastor Tim Norman officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service.
