Robert Eugene Noffke

FOREST CITY - Robert Eugene Noffke, 81, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Illinois to the late Gerald and Zola Gaddis Noffke. He is also predeceased by sons, David M. Noffke and Thomas Brooks; daughter, Tracy Briggs Owens of Rutherford; great-grandson, Maddox Lail.

Robert leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Debra Noffke Street (Eugene Buckey Arrowood) and Tanya Briggs both of Ellenboro; sons, Mark Noffke (Julie Webb) of Forest City, Fred Brooks (Veronica) of Seattle Washington and Raymond Briggs (Sumer) of Ellenboro, NC; grandchildren, Michelle Spencer of IN, David Spencer (Ashley Henderson) of Spindale, NC, Kenneth Spencer II (Brittany Roberts) and Krystal Spencer all of Ellenboro, NC, Bobby Noffke (Llana) of VA, Chris Noffke (Ashley) of Hubert, NC, Luke McKinney and Jacob Webb both of Forest City, Erika Brooks and Jasmine Brooks both of Ellenboro, NC, Allison and Payton Brooks of Seattle Washington, Dakota Lail, Luke Lail, Amber Briggs, Mia Briggs, John, Justin and Jason Lovelace all of Ellenboro, NC; great-grandchildren, Naomi Goss of IN, David Spencer, Jr. of IN, Noah Kerley of Spindale, NC, Christian Eason, Gage Brooks, Kenneth Spencer III, Victoria Spencer, Jeremiah Earley, Natalie Spencer and Emma Spencer Porter all of Ellenboro, NC, Dean and Ally both of Virginia, Eli and Owen Noffke of Hubert, NC, Lilianne Curry, Conner Lail and Mera Tucker of Ellenboro, NC; brother, Gary Noffke of Georgia; niece, Sydney Noffke of Georgia.

He worked at Catawba and surrounding Nuclear Power Plants as a Nuclear Power Technician. After Nuclear Power Plants, he retired from construction at  All American Homes. He liked watching sports, College and Professional Baseball, Basketball and Football.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, birdwatching and taking care of others. He loved his family but mostly he loved being around his great-grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at his residence on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12:00 PM until.
