Richard Gordon Jones

SHELBY - Richard Gordon Jones, 70, passed away on Monday, May 02, 2022 at Atrium Healthcare Cleveland. He was born to the late Flay E. Jones and Leona B. Jones in Cleveland County. He is also predeceased by his brothers, Bobby E. Jones and Charles “Jake” Jones; sisters, Linda Vash, Brenda Clanton and Emily Keener; step-mother, Naomi Jones.

Richard leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Mandy Dycus and husband Garrett; grandchildren, Ian and Hannah; sisters, Marcia J. Hopper (Ken) and Angela M. Hawkins (Roy); step-sisters, Joyce Holcomb, Brenda Sweezy, and Shirley Farrow; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends.

He served in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a long-time truck driver. He was a father, grandfather, brother, step-son and step-brother that will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved fishing and racing. He also loved riding his motorcycle and went to many bike rallies over the years.
