Reginald "Reggie" Everette Bridges

Reginald "Reggie" Everette Bridges, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 24, 2026 at his home. He was born to the late Roger Elon Bridges and Muriel Frances Newton Bridges, on March 26, 1953 in Cleveland County, North Carolina.

He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Diane Bridges and Aleta Kaye Bridges Logan; brother-in-law, John K. Black; two nephews, Chad Everette Cogdell and Jeremy Rooker Logan.

Reginald is survived by his children, Vickie Lynn Bridges Honeycutt (Eddie) and Christy Michelle Bridges Martin (Tim); grandchildren, Johnathan Bridges, Raven Fite (Todd), Jordan Davis, Derek Honeycutt; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Vickie Auton (Jim), Ellie Black, and Angela Hawkins (Dean); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; special niece, Ashley Wease (AJ Swink) who took care of him during his last days; his beloved dog, Buck.

He worked as a handyman, cleaning gutters, yard work, etc. He loved to sing and play the guitar, drawing, go fishing, shoot pool and play a good game of horseshoes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will truly be missed.

A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 01, 2026 at Temple Baptist Church, 1105 Bridges Street, Shelby, North Carolina 28150.
