Monie Lomenick Penner

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Monie Penner, 68, of Grover, North Carolina, who was called home to eternal rest on October 7, 2024.

She leaves behind a cherished legacy filled with love, laughter, and precious memories that will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Born to the late Gemes and Frances Lomenick on August 6, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her. As a devoted wife, loving mother, and adored grandmother, she was a source of strength and guidance, offering knowledge and comfort in times of need. To say it was a blessing having her in our lives is an understatement. We find solace in knowing she is at peace and gets to reunite with loved ones she has missed dearly.

Monie is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Penner, beloved dog, Rascal, and parents, Gemes and Frances Lomenick.

Sorely missed and survived by her daughters, Alicia Carter and Shelly Toney. Son-in-law, Wayne Carter and Matt Toney. Grandchildren, Deanna Humphries, Dillon Carter, Ryleigh Hendrick, Hayden Hendrick, and Great Grandson, Jensen Humphries.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you honor her memory by spending time with your loved ones and sharing joy with those around you.

May your beautiful soul rest in peace. Until we meet again.
