Mary Ann (Nanney) Tallent

Mary Ann Nanney Tallent, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 while at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rutherford County to the late Rush Shull Nanney and Georgia Ledford Nanney. She is also predeceased by brothers, Dorsey Nanney, Jr. Nanney, Jerry Nanney, Wayne Nanney, and Hubert Nanney; sister, Connie Nanney Barber.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne J. Tallent of the home; daughters, Theresa Tallent Arnold and Alma Tallent Stokes; 8 grandchildren, Kari Vaughn, Payton Arnold, Taylor Arnold, Skylar Arnold Dylan McSwain, Grant Waters, Kassi Waters and Dalton Martin; brother, Marvin Nanney; special niece, Nancy Nanney.

Mary was a member of Goode's Grove Baptist Church since 1981. She worked for Freightliner for most of her career. She enjoyed watching her Soap Operas and The Price is Right. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her memory is left in the hearts of those she loved.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Goode's Grove Baptist Church, 806 Goodes Grove Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114 with Pastor Robert Hensley officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be held immediately following the service at the Church Cemetery.
