Margaret Lucille (Williams) Johnston

Margaret Lucille Williams Johnston, 77, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 while at her home under Hospice Care. She was born to the late Benjamin Franklin Williams and Pauline Christman Williams in Buncombe County on October 28, 1946. She is also predeceased by her spouse, Lockard De Johnston; daughter, Brenda Gail Rice; brother, David Franklin Williams; sister, Lola Kay Pyatt.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lawrence Johnston (Tonya) of the home; 3 grandchildren, Scott Maynard, Tiffany McqQeen and Shawn Maynard; 5 great-grandsons; sister, Nola Mae Baily; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; numerous cousins.

Margaret loved to attend church where she was a member. She enjoyed television game shows, working puzzle books, cooking and being outside all of the time. She was a very independent lady and worked at Fringing Rugs and homemaking. She loved spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and her pets. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
