Marcella "Marcie" Payne

Marcella "Marcie" Payne, 69, passed away while at her home in Shelby, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was born to the late Mack McKinney Payne and Nancy Margaret Payne in West Virginia. She is also predeceased by a sister, Lana Sue Alley; two brothers, Larry Douglas Payne and Mack Allen Payne.

Marcie leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, Jason Kevin Arnold and wife, Nancy Arnold and Aaron Keith Arnold and wife, Kelly Arnold; ten grandchildren, Brandon and Julia Arnold, Kelci and Brandon-Jones, Andrew Arnold, Drake Arnold, Cadie Arnold, Drake Creson, Jennia Creson, Kali Greene, Brian Church and Keri Church; 8 great-grandchildren.

Marcie loved her family and her dog "Baby" more than anything. Family trips and family get togethers were her favorite. She was a graduate of Gardner-Webb University and retired from Atrium Health after 20+ years of Nursing. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Cleveland Memorial Park, 1225 College Avenue, Shelby, NC 28152 with the Rev. Mike Tucker officiating.
