Lucille Ellen (Price) Holland

SHELBY - Lucille Ellen Price Holland, 84, transitioned to her Heavenly home on Thursday, January 12, 2023 while at Atrium Healthcare Cleveland. She was born in New Haven, CT to the late Kenneth Otis Price and Margot Marron Price.  She is also predeceased by her spouse, Albert Russell Holland. 

Lucille leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Glenna Holland Hord and spouse, Thomas D. Hord; sons, Henry R. Holland and spouse, Pearl M. Holland and Kenneth C. Holland and spouse, LeAnn D. Holland; grandchildren, Necia P. Scruggs and spouse Joel W. Scruggs, Brian L. Hord and spouse, Joy L. Hord, Christopher M. Hord and spouse, Shannon K. Hord, Lacy C. Holland and Lee A. Holland and spouse, Emily Holland; great-grandchildren, Audrey C. Henderson, Gage R. Hord, Ella G. Hord, Riley M. Wellmon, Rhaya M. Hord, Cole A. Hord, Casein Wellmon and Nathaniel Holland. 

She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and was on the Hostess Committee. She was also a member and on the Executive Team of the Cleveland County Girl Scouts, American Cancer Society and American Red Cross. She retired from W.I. Trading after 36 years. She also worked part-time at Answerlive, Ye Olde Harness Shoppe and Crest Middle School. She was a Graduate of Stone Business College, New Haven, CT. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Buffalo Baptist Church, 108 Buffalo Church Road Shelby, NC 28150 with Rev. Mackie Turner and Rev. Dustin Mace officiating.
