Loyd James Ledford, Jr.

IRON STATION - Loyd James Ledford,  Jr., 70, passed away on Friday, January  15, 2021 at Caromont, Gastonia.  He is predeceased by his parents, Loyd James, Sr. and Mary Kiser Ledford; sister, Debra Rainey.

Loyd Jr. leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Kathy Ledford of the home;  sons, Sonny Ledford (Dana) and Scotty Ledford (Danica); daughter, Dana Moore (Richard); sister, Penny Swanson; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a member at River of Life Full Gospel Church. For most of his life he worked as Superintendent at the Golf Course.  He enjoyed being around his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will forever be in our hearts and will be missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Springwood Freewill Baptist, 826 Stanley Spencer Mountain Road, Gastonia, NC at 4:00 pm with Pastor Judd Burnett officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
