GAFFNEY, SC - Linda Faye Sapp Assad, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hoy Sapp and Ruby Lee Jarriel Sapp of Tattnall County, GA; brothers, Hugh Rogers (Lori) of O'Brien, FL, Jerry Sapp (Janice) of Darrian, GA, Irma Jean Sapp Green (Bo) of Brunswick, GA, and Colleen Sapp Finch (Bill) of Monks Corner, SC.

Mrs. Assad is survived by her husband, James S. Assad of Shelby, NC; sons, Karl Najib Assad (Debbie) of Blacksburg, SC, Rafi Assad (Deborah) of Flat Rock, NC; daughter, La'Wana A. Abernathy (Preston) of Apopka, FL; sister, Janice Sapp of Collins, GA; brother, Joey Singleton (Diane) of Collins, GA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Assad obtained her R.N. Degree from St. Josephs School of Nursing in Savannah, GA and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. She spent her career caring for others and volunteering for American Red Cross and Hospice.

No Services are planned to be held at this time.
