SHELBY - Lavhonda Lynn McSwain Merced, 38, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2020 at Southeast Georgia Health Center. She is predeceased by her husband, Jose Merced; father, Randy McSwain; brother, Jesse McSwain.

Lavhonda leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Carolyn Hodges; sons, Jose Merced, Jr. and Garbriel Merced; mother, Darlene Cuzzen of Lexington, NC; sisters, Ashley Pressley of Shelby, NC and Ashley Barton of Columbia, SC; aunts and uncles, Recca Noblitt and husband Stanley Owens of Lawndale, NC; Julie and Rick Hamrick of Shelby, NC; special cousins, Shannon Chapman and Michelle Helton of Shelby; lots of nieces and nephews that she loved greatly.

No Services are planned at this time but will be announced at a later date.
