Joseph "Joey" Ernest Sims

Joseph "Joey" Ernest Sims, 63, passed away on Monday, March 06, 2023 while at his home under Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Rutherford County, he was born to Ernest W. Sims and Judy Cole Sims. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Joshua and Jacob Sims. 

Joey leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Chasity Sims; grandchildren, Jonah Sims, Ada Sims and Elijah King; sisters, Karen Page and Starlyn Whisnant; brother-in-laws, Randy Page and Jimmy Whisnant; parents, Ernest and Judy Sims.

He sought to bring laughter and joy to those around him. He was a loyal protector of his parents. He was a loving brother, kind and gentle daddy and a generous friend.

Friends and Family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life Service to be held from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Robert Morgan - Rutherford Chapel, 124 Fair Hope Street, Forest City, NC 28043.
