Joanne (Parker) Nanney

SHELBY - Joanne Parker Nanney, age 83 passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at White Oak Manor, Shelby. She is predeceased by her spouse, Martin Nanney; parents, Perry Greene Parker and Ethel Ray Parker; brothers, P.G. Parker, Jessie "Jack" Parker, James "Buck" Allen Parker and Robert "Boots" Lee Parker.

Joanne leaves behind to cherish her memories her sisters, Mary "Beck" Denton, Betty Greene, Margaret "Sis" Williams and Jewel "Susie" Clark; brothers, A.C. "Tom" and wife Joyce Parker, Glenn "vop" Odell Parker, Billy "Jake" Dean Parker. A number of nieces and nephews and her beloved cats and dogs! Her best friend, Kay Allen, Bill Baker and all of her friends at Alston Bridges BBQ.

She enjoyed crocheting, eating at Alston Bridges BBQ and spending time with her family and friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 25, 2020 outside on the lawn at Dover Baptist Church "Picnic Shelter", 1501 Polkville Road, Shelby, NC 28150 with the Rev. Bulo Price officiating. Please bring a chair, wear comfortable clothing and a face mask. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cleveland County Hospice, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150 or to donors choice.
