SHELBY - Jerry Pearson, age 82, Cleveland County native, went to join the Lord at the 19th Hole on Saturday, May 07, 2022.
He was a United States Army Veteran and retiree from Fiber Industries after 28 years. After retirement, he was heavily involved in Volunteer work at local Nursing Homes where he played guitar and sang. A serious Golfer, Jerry won many local tournaments. A good all around Athlete that excelled at Basketball. He was also an avid Shag Dancer. He was a member of Christ The King Church and a member of Lawndale Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edison and Edith Neal Pearson; brother, Roger; twin brother, Gene Pearson; half-brother, Bill Martin.
He is survived by his sister, Brenda Pearson; son, Brian Pearson; wife, Kimmie "Sue" Pearson; three nephews; three nieces.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Lawndale Masonic Lodge, Piedmont Drive, Lawndale, NC 28090.
