SHELBY - Jerry Lewis Hopper, 68, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his home. Born on November 06, 1953 to the late Ernest and Marjorie Mae Allen Hopper in Cleveland County. He is also predeceased by his granddaughter, America Ballesteros; sister, Betty Hopper; brothers, Roger Hopper, Daniel Hopper, Bobby Hopper and Steve Hopper.

Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters, Shelby Hopper and spouse Shawn Pearson and Tarah Peralta and spouse Carlos Javier Peralta ; son, Jerry L. Hopper, Jr. and spouse Raleigh Kennedy; grandchildren, Seth Pearson, Ellora Pearson, Nicole Ballesteros, Charlie Ballesteros, Brianna Avila, Dulce Avila and Carlos Avila, Jr.; sister, Lisa Tesseneer and Linda Ross; beloved dog, Josie..

He was a beloved Daddy and Paw Paw. He loved with all of his heart. He also loved his dear baby Josie. He loved to fish, he could build anything and loved being outside. He would do anything he could to help and be there for anyone especially his children and grandchildren, which he loved with all of his heart. And with his final words, YEEHAW!

Funeral Services will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Rutherford Chapel, 124 Fair Hope Street, Forest City, NC 28043 on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
