James Preston Wilson

LAWNDALE - James Preston Wilson, 82, peacefully went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his home. He is predeceased by his parents, Zonnie Preston and Cora Roper Wilson; son, Timothy Ray Wilson; siblings, Myrtle "Geneva" Coleman (Ralph), Dorothy "Marie" Brown (Lewis), Virginia Mae Carswell (Larry), Gary Lesley Wilson (Ann).

James leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Irene Price Wilson of the home; son, James "Allen" Wilson (Mary); daughter, Christine Wilson Saunders (Colon); grandchildren, Daniel Odell Wilson (Laura Ashley Brooks), Steven James Wilson, Amber Renee' Wilson, Christopher James Saunders (Lauren Auton), Charles "Alexander" Saunders (Miranda), and Cassandra Elizabeth Saunders; great-grandchildren, Hannah Wilson, Ayden Poteat, and Larissa Wilson; siblings, Zonnie "Wesley" Wilson (Linda) and Beatrice Lucille Bollinger (David).

He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church of Casar, NC and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed his country westerns, working with his hands, and playing with his dogs. He will be in our hearts forever and will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 337 Hull Road, Casar, NC 28020 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Keith Fulbright officiating.
