Guy Norris Owens "The Radiator Man"

SHELBY - Guy Norris Owens - "The Radiator Man" 81, of Shelby, passed away peacefully at home May 14, 2021. Guy was owner/operator of Guy's Radiator Service for 37 years. Guy's shop was a place that you didn't just feel like a customer. It was a place that turned customers into friends that became family. You could just come by and hangout to talk shop and have some laughs.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father John and Irene (Lovelace) Owens. In addition to his parents two brother Ralph and Hoyt Owens.
The Ol' Man was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. 

Guy is survived by his wife Carolyn Grayson Owens of 46 years; sister, Joan Heffner; two brothers, Dean "Duck" and Don Owens. He left behind a son, David Grayson and wife Tammy of Grover, as well as daughter, Barbara and husband Steve McIntyre; grandchildren, David, Tyler, Kayla, Jacob and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Patty, John, Arthur, Ariel, Bryleigh and Bo; three special nieces, Shannon, Laura and Nikki; special friend and caregiver Miss Judy Bailey; a host of other children that he had a part in their lives that acknowledged him as Dad, Pop or My Ol' Man.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church, 2621 Blacksburg Road, Earl, NC 28038 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service. Internment following the service.
