Franklin (Frankie) Delano Rockholt

BESSEMER CITY - Franklin (Frankie) D. Rockholt was born on January 06, 1937 in Bessemer City, North Carolina to the late John Henry Rockholt and Minnie Beam Rockholt. Franklin passed away after a decline in health on April 02, 2021 surrounded by a caring Hospice staff at Peak Resources, Cherryville, North Carolina.

Mr. Rockholt was never married and had no children. He had to leave school at the age of 13 and worked as a Roper in the local mill in Bessemer City, N.C. He financially supported his mother and himself only taking $5.00 from his pay for personal use. Frankie was a man who loved his mother, his God, his bag pipes, his radio/television and old movies.

He was a long time resident of Summerset Court, Cherryville, North Carolina. He is survived by his nephew, Robert Richard Rockholt, Sr. of California and his great-nephew Robert Richard Rockholt, Jr. of Oregon, a niece, Lillian (Lynn) Rockholt Greca of South Carolina.

Mr. Rockholt will be cremated and buried at the Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery, Bessemer City, North Carolina.
