SHELBY - Douglas "Doug" Wayne Merck, age 59, of Lincolnton, NC passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020  at his home in Shelby, NC of natural causes. Born January 03, 1961 in Lincolnton, NC, Son of Charles and Clara Merck. 

He enjoyed music, riding horses and learning about Native American History.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Merck; daughter, Melissa and husband Adal Leon, three grandchildren, Rosie, Anthony and Aron; daughter, Kelly and husband Tommy Hendrix, grandson, Rocky; son, Douglas "Deejay" Wayne Merck, Jr., grandson Leo; step-children, Mary Hillard, Stevie Riles and TJ Riles; sisters and brothers, Sheila Smith and husband, Gail Peterson, Sissy Mode and husband, Tammy Johnson and husband and Chuck Merck and wife; niece, Boot and many more.

He is predeceased by his parents, Charles V. Merck and Clara M. Merck; brother, Ronnie Merck.
