Dorothy Ann (McDaniel) Heffner

Dorothy Ann McDaniel Heffner, 79, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 while at Hospice of Wendover. She was born to the late James Clement McDaniel and Lessie LeCroy McDaniel. She is also predeceased by her spouse, Ray Heffner.

Left to cherish her memory are her stepdaughter, Lisa Myers (Steve), Ronald Heffner (Trina), and Danny Heffner (Katharine); grandchildren, Stephanie Short (Preston), Hollie Anthony (Jonathan), Josh Myers (Allison), Chris Heffner, Jennifer Leigh, Nick Heffner (Katie), Allen Heffner (Alicia) and Brandon Heffner; sister, Gayle Harper; brother, James "Jim" McDaniel; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Dorothy worked in  Textiles for most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and cake decorating. She had a "green thumb" for growing flowers and was an avid animal lover. She never missed a family cookout or birthday. She was a very hard-worker. She babysat grandchildren and spent time every day with her great-grandchildren. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Oak View Baptist Church, 1517 York Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 with Pastor Wayne Brazzell officiating. Receiving of Friends will be held at 1:00 pm. Immediate family gathering after the service in the fellowship hall. If anyone would like to bring a dish to the family you are welcome to do so.

Flowers should be sent to the family.
