Dennis James McDowell

Dennis James McDowell, 62, of Rutherfordton, NC died on Tuesday, June 05, 2023 at Rutherford Regional Hospital. A native of Conway, South Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Ethel McDowell; brothers, Charlie, Eugene and Junior McDowell all of Conway, SC; one sister, Irene Rackly of Myrtle Beach, SC.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry McDowell, of the home; one brother, Tommy McDowell (Kay) of Shelby, NC; sisters, Doris Smith and Linda Gardner of Conway, SC and Paula Benton of Florence, SC; several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; two special nieces, Nikki Benton and Stacy Benton that he also loved dearly. 

He worked as a Landscaper. In his early years he loved to fish and bowl. He loved all animals especially his dog, Lilly Bell. Dennis was a kind man and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
