Debra "Debbie" Turner

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved friend, Debra "Debbie" Turner on Sunday, September 13, 2026 while at her home. She was born to the late Harold George and Wilma Hamm George in Cleveland County, North Carolina. She is predeceased by her son, John Turner; brother, Thomas George; father-in-law, Max Turner, Sr.; sister-in-law, Rise' Brewer.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 45 years, Benjamin "Benjy" Turner; granddaughters, Makenley Turner and Grace Turner; sisters, Kim Parker (Farrel), Tammy Feree (Jack); step-son, Alex Schendel (Melodee) and Earl Schendel (Bonnie); step-brother, Phil Wright (Tammy); mother-in-law, Connie Turner; brother-in-law, Max Turner, Jr. (Tonie), Jonny Turner (Lynn), and Max Brewer; numerous nieces and nephews.

During her lifetime, she worked in Retail for over 50 years. She previously owned Two Doors Down where she was very much loved by the whole community. She always greeted her customers with a smile. Her son, John, was so very special to her they were like best friends. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Private Family Services will be held at a later date and officiated by Max Turner, Jr.
