Coma Lloyd Hudson

Coma "Rock" Lloyd Hudson, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 while at his home. He was born in Clark County, Alabama to the late Travis Hudson and Colen Henson Hudson. He is also predeceased by his 2 brothers, Rex Hudson and CB Hudson; 2 sisters, Murl Allen and Ruth Thomas.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty E. Hudson; daughter, Ann Deal and husband Dennis Deal; son, Michael Hudson and wife Vivien Hudson; daughter, Sonya H. Shipley and husband Edward Shipley; grandchildren, Kristina Shipley, Travis Shipley, Robert Deal, Andrew Deal, JJ Deal, Alexis Deal, Ellie Hudson, Lloyd Hudson and Lara Hudson; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Kelly and husband Boyce Kelly.

Rock owned and operated a Convenient Store. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Casar, NC. He was an Alabama Fan to the end, He enjoyed making people laugh, hunting, square dancing, and story telling. He loved being a Mason, listening to country music and to sing for people.  He never met a stranger and was someone you could count on if you needed anything. He will forever remain in our hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 02, 2025 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 337 Hull Road, Casar, NC 28020 with Pastor Keith Fulbright officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be immediately following the service at the church cemetery.
