Charles William Hamrick

Charles William Hamrick passed away while at his home on Monday, June 26, 2023.   He was born in Cleveland County to the late Buren and Grace Hamrick.  He is predeceased by his brother, Joe Hamrick, and sisters, Louise Harris, Daisy Wylie, and Elsie Dixon; and his son, Michael Hamrick.

Left to cherish his memories is his spouse of 64 years, Katie Hamrick; his sons, Craig Hamrick and wife Joy, Kevin Hamrick and wife Angie; grandsons, Bradley Hamrick and wife Carly, Jared Hamrick, Jacob Hamrick and fiance' Morgan; granddaughters, Crystal Bishop and husband Leonard, Natalie Fehl and husband Atticus, Anna Acuff and husband Garett; and three great-grandsons, Vincent Fehl, Leonard Bishop, and George Fehl.  Charles is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Hamrick; sister, Evelyn Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Cleveland County, where he served as a Sunday School teacher for several years.  He proudly served his country in the Air Force.  He enjoyed farming, golfing and gardening, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.  He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, friend, businessman, and most importantly example of Christ.  He will remain in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1301 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Mooresboro, NC  28114.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., with the Celebration of Life to follow at 4:00 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1301 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Mooresboro, NC  28114.
