Carolyn Bernice McDaris

Carolyn B. McDaris, 76, of Shelby passed away peacefully at Mitchem Mack Hospice House in Lake Norman on July 15th 2025. .

Carolyn was born in Asheville, NC on January 16 1949. She is preceded in death by her parents William Theron McDaris and Sarah Foy McDaris Brother Steve McDaris.

She is survived by her son, William Potter Gheen III; sisters, Ann M. Teague of Hickory and Becky Gordon of Earl; several nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A Private Graveside Service will be held on the day of the burial.

Carolyn loved cats and taking care of them. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
