Carolyn Louise (Powell) Barrett

SHELBY - Carolyn Louise Powell Barrett, 68, native of Cleveland County, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 01, 2021 at Carolina Care Center, Cherryville. She is predeceased by her son, Jesse Barrett; parents, George William Powell and Ruth White Powell; brother, Marvin Powell.

Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Rodney Barrett; grandchildren, Josh Barrett and Brittany Homesley Luke; brothers James Powell Charlie Powell, Billy Powell and wife Carol and Don Powell and wife Cindy; sister, Betty Powell Canipe.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Shelby. She was employed and worked in Management at PPG for 28 years. For most of her life she  loved growing flowers, watching television and loving pets. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Graveside Service will be held at Boiling Springs Cemetery on Thursday, August 05, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Tim Sims officiating.
