Carl Wayne Keown

Carl Wayne Keown, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 22, 2023 while at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born in Kentucky to the late Roma Keown and Nancy Loretta Keown. He is also predeceased by his sisters, Edith Golf and Beatrice Kay "Granny" Keown Earls; brother, Bernard Keown.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 50 plus years, Norma Sue Earls Keown of the home; (children) son, Carl Wayne Keown, Jr. and wife, Leanne Keown, son, Roma Dale Keown and wife, Angela Keown, daughter, Tina Dobbs, son, Glenn Alen Keown "Peewee" and wife, Natalie Keown, son, Jeffrey Wayne Keown, daughter, Carla Sue Kewon Hancock and daughter, Brandy Nichole Keown; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; (siblings) sister, Jean Ward, brother, Randy Keown, brother, Bobby Keown, sister, Maryann Hayes, sister, Alice Penner, brother, Dean Keown, sister, Pat Duvall, sister, Kathy Shartzer, sister, Sharron Salee 'Sherry" and brother, Kevin Keown; many nieces and nephews.

For most of his life he worked as an Electrician. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Camp Creek Baptist Church, 2323 Camp Creek Church Road Mooresboro, North Carolina 28114 with Pastor Steve Durham officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be held in the church cemetery immediately following the service.
