Candy Denise Willis

FOREST CITY - Candy Denise Willis, 50, transitioned to her Heavenly home on Sunday, January 08, 2023 while at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. Native of Cleveland County, she was born to the late Charles Ray Willis and Thelma "Ann" Emery Walker. She is also predeceased by her brother, Timothy Charles Willis; paternal grandparents, Glenn and Verdie Willis; maternal grandparents, Louis Spangler Wiggins and David Emery.

Candy leaves behind to cherish her memories her aunt, Sybil Terry; uncle, Tommy Willis; several cousins.

She couldn't do a lot of things others take for granted. When people saw her they saw a handicapped person but that's not who she was or who we saw. She was an example of inner-strength, as she continually fought battles with her health and limitations that would crush most. She reminded us that most of our problems are not really problems and to be grateful for what we have. To savor the sweet beautiful moments because life is fragile and someday too soon, we must say good-bye.
