SHELBY - Bobby (Joe) Hawkins passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Atrium Healthcare Cleveland. He was born on April 19, 1956 to the late Mildred and Bobby Joe Hawkins. He was greeted in Heaven by his daughter, Dana Hamrick and granddaughter, Bobbi Lynn.
Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Laurette; beloved daughter, Sharon Patrick; grandsons, Andrew Patrick and Phillip Willis; great-granddaughter, Ava Willis: sisters, Vicki Leonard and Cindi Franceschina; family relations too numerous to mention.
Bobby was a perfectionist in everything he did. He was an exceptional graphic designer and sign maker who turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. He started out painting signs in his youth and as technology and equipment improved, he grew his business into a sign company that everyone wanted because they knew he did quality work. He wouldn't let anything go out of his shop unless it met his exceptionally high standards and his customers greatly appreciated it.
He cherished his family more than anything and was always reaching out to them to make sure that they knew it. He loved the Lord and would tell everyone he met about him wanting them to know him too. He was passionate about studying scripture to find the wisdom within.
He enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new things. He loved working on old cars and had a great respect for anything that was a Mopar. He had restored several of them from the ground up turning them into show cars and even won a trophy or two. He loved landscaping and considered his yard an extension of his artistic ability. The things he could do with flowers and plants was amazing. I've seen him buy dying plants and flowers at a discount and put them in the ground and breathe life into them so beautifully that you would not have known they were dying before he got his hands on them. He was a photographer and took pictures of everything but he especially loved sunsets and capturing our pooch doing her crazy antics.
But the most important thing to him was his relationship with the Lord. Not just his but yours also. He didn't want to go to Heaven without trying to make sure he wasn't leaving one single soul behind. That was his spirit. He wasn't content to know that he was saved, he wanted to make sure you were also.
Bobby was the best husband, father, neighbor and friend you could ever have. Everyone who knew him would agree. He will be greatly missed by all!!!
