Bobby Joe Greene, 84, of Cliffside, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026. He was born in Cliffside on July 1, 1942.

Bobby was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed working on things, spending time outdoors, and being surrounded by the people he loved. He especially cherished spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Angel.

Bobby was always there to lend a helping hand. He cared deeply about his family and always wanted to make sure they were okay. His kindness, love, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Margaret and Odus Greene, Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine Greene; his son, Rick Greene; and his brothers, William Greene, Clyde Greene, Jake Greene, and Jimmy Greene.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Scott Greene and wife Karen Greene; his grandchildren, Megan Ray and husband Dylan Ray, Brad Greene and wife Ashley Greene, Ricky Greene and Carla Piñon, Brandy Greene and James Carol, Tabby Greene, Stephanie Greene, and Scotty Greene; nine great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Bobby’s family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. His love for his family, his helping heart, and his presence in their lives will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 14, 2026 at New Buffalo Church, 1010 Lavender Road, Grover, North Carolina 28073. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be immediately following the service at Grover City Cemetery, Grover, North Carolina.
