Billy Harrell Strange

Billy Harrell Strange, 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 while at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born in Lincoln County to the late Hugh B. Strange and Susie Newton Strange. He is also predeceased by his wife, Helen Moore Strange; sons, Donnie Black and Shane Strange of Shelby. 

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Tammy Tessneer (Sammy) of Mooresboro; sons, Johnny Black (Kathy) of Forest City, Jerry Strange (Dayna) and David Strange both of Lawndale; grandchildren, Mindy Tessneer, Holly and Kensley Black, Sayge and Blayton Strange, Katherine and Lydia Strange; brother, Bobby Strange. 

He worked in Tree Service. He enjoyed watching Softball and Baseball, going fishing, going to the Mountains, camping and spending time with his family. Billy was a wonderful father, grandfather and brother. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 1446 Beachwood Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114.
