Billy Joe Dean Blanton, Jr.

Billy Joe Dean Blanton, 37, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. He was born to the late Billy Joe Dean Blanton, Janice H. Byrd and husband, Tommy E. Smith in Rutherford County. He is also predeceased by one brother, Tommy J. Smith.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Nolan Blanton and Jeremiah Blanton; daughter, Lilly Price; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Keela Blanton, Candi Blanton and Selena Byrd; brother, Timmy J. Smith; uncle, Roy Dale Hensley; aunt, Delores H. Jones, Barbara Bowmen, Ruth Romirez and Suzzana Wright; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was an avid lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed tubing fishing and bonfires. He was family oriented and loved doing things with them. He had a big, big heart. He was an animal lover. One of his very favorite things to do was to take his children, nieces and nephews tubing down the river. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved hime.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 09, 2023 at Race Path Baptist Church, 1171 Racepath Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
