Betty Leigh (Upton) Rhom

RUTHERFORDTON - Betty Upton Rhom, born July 17, 1942 to the late Charlie B. and Laura Daggerhart Upton, died Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Preceded in death by her husband, of 35 years, Roger Dean Rhom; three daughters, Sandra L. Rhom, Susan Rhom Henderson and Deborah Rhom Cook; a son, James Daniel Rhom; two brothers, Charles Upton and Boyce Upton; two sisters, Lillian Upton Gibson and Margaret Upton Holmes.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, DeAnna Michelle Rhom Kelly. Betty was a loving grand mother to 3 grand-daughters, 3 grandsons, 6 great-granddaughters, 5 great-grandsons, 4 great-great-granddaughters and 2 great-great grandsons. Also surviving are three brothers, Floyd Upton, Mike Upton and Jimmy Upton; a host of nieces and nephews.

She loved her family very much. She was a member of the Church of The Brethren in Spindale NC for many years.

No Services are to be held at this time but will be announced at a future date for both Betty Rhom and Deb Cook to be held together.
