Betty Lee (Callahan) Poteat

MOORESBORO - Betty Lee Callahan Poteat, 90, of Shelby went to be with her loving Savior on Tuesday, September 07, 2021 at her home. 

She was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church. She had a passion for gardening, her family and the Atlanta Braves Baseball team. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Ada (Skinner) Callahan, numerous brothers and sisters and a son, Randy Padgett.

She is survived by a sister, Barbara Callahan Cross; daughter Jackie Oliver (Ernest); granddaughters, Tammy Whitaker (Douglas), Tosha Morrison (Landon), Kacie Martin (Jim) and Summer Richards; grandson, JJ Padgett (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Chandler Ort, Brayden Ort, Logan Morrison, Tucker Morrison, Wyatt Martin, Waylon Martin, Connor Padgett, Colton Padgett, Camden Wease and Blayden Wease; a loving friend and caregiver, Aimee Hendricks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Cleveland Memorial Park, 1225 Boiling Springs, NC 28017.
