Arthur "Art" Noel Mauney, Jr.

Arthur Noel Mauney, Jr. entered eternity on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the age of 57. He was born in Maryland to the late Arthur Mauney, Sr. and the late Carolyn Mauney. He was the husband to Robyn Howell-Mauney for 33 years. Father to Arthur Mauney, III (Trace), Avery Mauney and fiance' Lauren Elgin, Max Mauney and McCaulley (Arden) Mauney and his most special daughter, Waffle. Brother to Paul Mauney and wife Angie. Uncle to Christopher and Presley Mauney. Brother-in-love to Kenny Howell and wife Margie Petty. Son-in-love to Juanita Biggerstaff. Friend to the Music World.

Art was ingrained in the music industry his entire life. There are very few instruments he couldn't play. He fullfilled his dream of owning his own store, Bulldog Music in Boiling Springs, NC. He taught, sold and inspired many a young soul and it can't even be counted just how many people on Earth he's touched with his love and dedication to music. He played in many bands and traveled the country playing his bass.

In the words of Hunter S. Thompson, "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclamming "Wow! What a ride!".

He will forever be in our hearts! A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, April 02, 2023 at IzziQ, 127 West Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28150 at 5:00 PM.
